Long ago, a brilliant scientist discovered a power flowing through the universe that was clean, endless, and extremely adaptive to our technology. We were able to easily replace the harmful environment-killing fossil fuels we currently used with the new universal power and changed life across galaxies.
One day, a mysterious alien race called the Scarab came to the federation and took away universal power, overthrew the council, and banned the usage of the old fossil fuel methods of energy and sold us containers of universal power for a price.
The cost? Slaves...
