Pinterest Writing Tips - Who knew?

One day, I was trying to figure out how to use Pinterest to introduce my books to new readers. Other social media is a little easier. You make a nice little image, write a little about it, hashtag it up, post it, and you're done!
Pinterest for me is a different beast. I thought people mostly looked for "Foods to Try" recipes there. I found some great eats on there, posted a ton of my all-time hero, Mrs. Peel (Diana Rigg) from the original Avengers, to her very own board, immortalized my other hero, Snoopy and the Peanuts gang, and even visually enhanced my boards with "Beautiful Places" from all over the world.
Pinterest can be quite useful and inspiring. It's a great organizational tool, as well.
But how can it help my readership?
I finally got a bright idea and searched for "writing" on Pinterest, and low-and-behold! What I saw was a world of really excellent writing tips. All sorts of stuff like editing tips, synonym lists, how-to's, etc. So, I decided to make my very own pin instead of just reposting. 10 Steps To Write A Novel. It was inspired by a question posed to me on Quora. I've since created "Writing Tips" board (with other re-pinned pins) and my very own!
How does this help me find readers? Well, other writers are readers, and by reading these tips myself, it helps me improve my writing which in turn will inadvertently garner new readers!
Thanks for reading, and if you have a moment, please share this post!
